Progress Report

There are several ways to get involved and support The Lynch Quilts Project. From fundraising to sewing, you decide how you would like to support our community effort. This page is dedicated primarily to the sewing aspects of the project. EVERYONE (and I mean EVERYONE), regardless of your sewing level is encouraged to participate. Quilt V:
The Making Quilt


  • Quilt will go into sewing production by summer 2020. We are currently collecting and dying custom fabrics for the quilt. 


How to Participate:

  • Send pink, charcoal, black, or indigo fabric.

  • Sew specific segments such as a star, the background, circle, etc.

  • We are looking for folks to embroider specific sections.

Quilt VI:
Memoria: In Progress


  • This quilt installation continues to pop-up and morph into many configurations. We are still working towards having each name on the "lynching rolls" claimed and documented.

Quilt VIII:
Lawrence and His Sisters


  • Full blown production. ETA of completion is late-Summer, early-Fall 2020.


How to Participate:

  • Collecting fabric associated with ideas around "boyhood." No superhero items. We are exploring boyhood of 1910's. is owned and maintained by the artist LaShawnda Crowe Storm. Copyright 2011-2019.
